Notes: In 1591 on the 29 day of an illegible month he confessed. He was kept in the house of David Seaton in Tranent. Was questioned about Euphame Makcalyean, he said he never knew her until he saw her in the tolbooth in Edinburgh. He implied that he was tortured to implicate Makcalyean, retracted it and said he will answer to God for what he said. He was questioned about Bothwell on 19/9/1591.
