Notes: Local ministers and lairds (?elders) involved. Reported that the accused confessed in her local kirk. Investigation went on for some months and several ministers involved. Found guilty of charming but appears that they could not sentence her to death for this. Presbytery recorded that a commission was to be requested. 20/7/1642 Mr John Currie reported that the council felt the points of the application in 'no wayes demerit death', ?no further action.
