Case Notes
His majesty ordered that requests for commissions of justiciary for the crimes of theft, receiving of stolen property, slaughter, murder, witchcraft and other capital crimes were not to be submitted to him personally. They were to go to the Kings secretary and then delivered to the Privy Council for deliberations. 'Commissions otherwise passed are to be null.'
