Presbytery told about number of suspected witches in Caerlaverock. Committee investigated, 27/3/1705, but unsure whether witchcraft proven. Details sent to Queen's Advocate who replied that there were no grounds for criminal process. Presbytery drop the matter on 26/7/1705.
